Dr. Sugandha Tiwari is a Professor in Botany at D.G. College, Kanpur. She has a twenty three years of teaching experience in graduate and post graduate classes in Phycology, Plant Biotechnology, Ethnobotany, Plant Physiology and Biochemistry. She is Ph.D/ NET and had been a CSIR-JRF and CSIR-SRF at CIMAP, Lucknow. Released two high artemisinin containing varieties of antimalarial plant Artemisia annua ( Variety Jeewanraksha and Suraksha) under the guidance of Dr. Sushil Kumar ( Former Director and Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award recepient).
